As an organization dedicated to protecting historic places and cultural resources significant to Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, Asian and Pacific Islander Americans in Historic Preservation (APIAHiP) places a strong emphasis on preservation in action and policy advocacy. We focus on maximizing the efforts of our small volunteer, but dedicated staff and board to achieve the largest impact on historic preservation in underrepresented communities. To this end, we only select projects with the greatest potential for meaningful impact on historic preservation policy and planning
